How Vanco Works
Vanco is a service that allows you to give your offerings to All Shepherds in an easy method. You can create an account to automatically withdraw money from your bank checking account on a weekly or monthly basis. Your bank processes the transaction using the Federal ACH (Automated Clearing House) and the funds are electronically deposited into the All Shepherds bank account.
Vanco differs from Tithe.ly in that you will need to work with the ASLC Financial Secretary, Becky Lickfelt, to complete the required bank forms. A voided copy of one of your checks will be required. Once the service has been activated you will need to again work with the ASLC Financial Secretary to stop or modify withdrawals from your account.
Vanco charges All Shepherds an administration fees just as a credit card company would. The fee is reasonable in that it allows All Shepherds to receive consistent giving and for you to have an easy method to donate your gifts. As with other automatic payments that come out of your checking account, you will have to remember to write the withdrawal in your checkbook so that you can balance your checking account.
The following is an example of how Vanco works:
A member of All Shepherds wants to give $25 a week to the church. The annual gift would be $25 x 52 weeks or $1,300. ALL fees for using Vanco are paid by ASLC. The member would work with the ASLC Financial Secretary to complete the necessary paperwork and the automatic withdrawals would start soon afterward.
All Shepherds pays Vanco $10 per month to administer all members within ASLC that use Vanco, plus a 1% administrative fee and a $.45 transaction fee for every deposit received.
Member donation per week: $25.00
Vanco individual admin fee (1%): $ .25
Vanco transaction fee: $ .45
All Shepherds receives: $24.30
Member pays $25.00
All Shepherd pays $ .65
ASLC Contribution Statement: $25.00
Our example shows the fees paid by ASLC have no effect upon the member’s donation. When you receive your Annual Contribution Statement all forms of donation will be listed and Vanco will be identified separately.
