Learning Ministry
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
The Learning Ministry provides educational opportunities for all members from birth through adult, including:
Sunday School: Meets weekly during the school year between the 9:30 and 11:11 services and serves those age 3 through adult.
Pathways Small Groups: Meet regularly together (typically every other week) to pray, discuss questions about how our faith applies to our life, and grow in fellowship together through Christ-centered community.
Vacation Bible School: A week-long series offered each summer, focused on sharing the Good News with elementary school children through arts and crafts, music and more.
Camping Ministry: Summer camp provides and awesome faith experience for all of us as a place to retreat and renew each summer. Students can attend our week-long Lutheran Outdoor Ministry Youth or Family Camp.
Junior Youth Group: Focused on activities for children in the 2nd through 5th grade.
Confirmation Class: Offered each fall for children in 3rd grade and up.
Communion Class: A five-week class encouraged for all children who have taken Communion since infancy as well as those wanting to receive first Communion. Children in 2nd grade are welcome to attend with a parent.
High School Youth Group: Meets every other Sunday evening to grow together through shared prayer and fun events.
Youth Special Events: Helping organize events such as Jerusalem Marketplace on Palm Sunday, Easter egg hunt, mid-week Lent learning time, and Fall Fest.
This ministry offers opportunities for all in nurturing their education and encouraging youth to grow in the faith community. We are always appreciative of people willing to teach youth and adult Sunday school, participate in VBS and gather in our Pathways program to nurture their participation in small group ministry.
