Encouraging Ministry
“Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. ”
The Encouraging Ministry provides an opportunity to develop community and support systems for members and friends of our congregation, creating a family of faith within the larger congregation. Our ministry includes:
Greeting Card: Sending cards to provide encouragement, thanks and acknowledgement of life events.
Meals: Providing meals as a support to congregation members during times of illness, hospitalization or other times of need.
Bereavement: Assisting with meals and other activities during a time of loss and grief.
OWLS (Old Wise Lutherans Social group): Planning gatherings for food and fellowship.
Event Host: Serving as host for Bible studies, new member classes, Sunday morning cake events, etc.
Fellowship Events: Planning and sponsoring events to build our community and encourage interaction among congregation members.
Visitations: Calling and setting up possible visits by members who are unable to join us for worship or fellowship activities.
Current Needs:
We always need individuals to be a part of the Meals Ministry, or for those who have an interest in visiting members of the congregation at the Pastors’ request. If you like to plan parties, we would welcome you to be a part of the Fellowship Ministry.
Please prayerfully consider joining our All Shepherd’s Encouraging Team.
