Cake and Pie Sale

Fall is just around the corner and so is the date of the 6th annual Ron Wean Memorial Seminarian Fund Round Cake & Pie Sale.  The sale will be held on Sunday, October 2nd before and after all of the services.  Sign-up sheets can be found in The Gathering Place.

The goal of the Seminarian Fund Committee is 75 cakes and pies, collectively, and they are asking for the support of all previous and NEW bakers in order to make this event the success it has been in each of the previous years.

Remember we are asking for 2-layer or 3-layer cakes, bundt        cakes,cheesecakes, tube pan cakes, any ROUND cake; also fruit pies,cream pies, chess pies, sweet potato pies, pumpkin pies, etc. Please bring your donations to the church on Saturday, October 1st  from 9-12, or on Sunday before the 8:15 service, if possible.

The funds raised are to benefit the ongoing Seminarian Fund, which was proposed by the late Ron Wean, to encourage young men and women of All Shepherds to pursue the Lutheran ministry and to provide some financial support toward that pursuit.  Our current seminarian is Dawn Shepard.

Mark your calendars NOW for the weekend of October 1-2 … and share one of your favorite cake and/or pies to someone who would rather buy than bake!
